Rebecca grew up in a house full of brothers that she was always trying to keep up with playing sports. In high school, she participated in volleyball, track, but thrived in basketball as an outside shooter. After high school she stayed active working out, often in group classes and personal training, since working out by herself failed to really motivate her.
In 2012, when one of her friends suggested trying a CrossFit class with her, she was nervous but decided to try it out…and she has been doing CrossFit ever since! After getting her CrossFit L1 in 2016, she has coached both regular CrossFit classes and helped program & coach the Man Made Kids summer classes.
“A few things I love about CrossFit? The scalability options that make CrossFit a workout for anyone; the constantly varied workouts that keep things challenging, fresh, & fun; & the fact that everyone isn’t good at everything, so there is always a skill to spend extra time improving upon.
I really enjoy coaching & watching people to work past mental barriers. Some great examples are watching people take on the CrossFit Open and PR days. It’s always fun watching the people at the box succeed & then everyone helping to celebrate their personal victories!”
